Johnny Cash Project

As a memorial for Johnny Cash, Aaron Koblin created an algorithm that would feed some of his artist friends an individual frame from a video of Johnny Cash. Each artist had the opportunity to interpret what they saw and visualise it. In the end Koblin compiled these frames into a beautiful, narrative showng the impact Cash had on many of his fans.

Eurovision 2021 Logo

Data Designers CleverFranke worked on the logo for the 2021 Eurovision in Rotterdam. The logo shows the location of all participating countries in relation to Rotterdam and their distance from Rotterdam. The designers say this will hopefully create a sense of connection between the countries rather than seperation.

Google Maps Hack

Artist Simon creates a humorous work from an often overlooked piece of data, Google's real-time traffic data. To show the triviality of the data and how to easily opvercome it, he filled a cart with 99 phones, and then walked around Berlin, confusing the google traffic system.
